Shogakuji (the Western temple trace)

 "Southern barbarian temple" which was the center of Christian propagation. This Shogakuji was erected in ruins of Christian church. Tsu Pucheng main hokuron erects the Western temple in 1589 (Tensho 17). Person more than 3,500 was converted to Christian with protection of upper Tsu Pucheng master in the golden age, and bloom of European medieval culture bloomed in profusion. However, the Western temple is destroyed for oppression and will erect Shogakuji for Buddhism propagation after Shimabara, the Amakusa riot (1637).
 In the case of the main hall of a Buddhist temple reconstruction carried out, IHS and kamaboko-shaped Christian gravestone with dried (feel) cross were discovered recently. The Western tree (tree of nagi) for age of a tree 400 years when it is said that believer of Christian planted in the precincts surrounded for cedar standing side by side conveys former times.
