1,000 martyrdom war mounds

 7,000 Christians group whom Shirou Amakusa leads on November 14, 1637 crashes into 25,000 Karatsu militaries (the Shogunate forces) in the Hondo, and large fierce battle is developed around town Yamaguchi river, and it is said that flow of river stopped in corpse.
 Karatsu group that lost general Tobe Miyake in war of this day flights to Tomioka. Country women built guardian deity of children in several city and it was on friendly terms and worshiped innumerable corpses of both Karatsu, Shiro militaries who stayed in riverbank under the pretense of 1,000 mounds. It is this martyrdom 1,000 mound that enshrined these mounds together.
 In addition, Yoshino cherry tree begins to bloom from the beginning of March, and the end of March becomes at their best.
