In the summer of 1907 (Showa 40), Tekkan Yosano and pupil, Hakushu Kitahara and others five planned trip to Kyushu for one month in one of the Tokyo literary circle formed during Meiji-era Japan sponsorship. Account of a trip to say in the life is trip of "five pairs of shoes". We reconfirm footprint of "five pairs of shoes" and significance of trip in Amakusa which became the central stage of the trip and we honor and we turn thought, Amakusa outside the city as island of culture about literature and climate and send this to the whole country and hold five pairs of shoes honoring whole country tanka meetings as culture place of exchange.
