The Amakusa West Coast whole area was known as production center of Amakusa clay for chinaware Japan's most, and Amakusa toki baked using this Amakusa clay for chinaware received designation of country as tradition craft in March, 2003.
We work on the making of work which arrested idea of consumers while protecting tradition such as work of translucent snow white using high quality Amakusa clay for chinaware and warm work of ash glaze in each pottery of Amakusamachi, Amakusa-shi and Reihoku-machi, Amakusa-gun and hold "earthenware City in Amakusa West Coast spring" every year as place of the result announcement.
