At the mid-16th century, "the Western temple" (current Shogakuji) is built in Ariake-cho, and, for European medieval culture having founded bloom, "Western dishes fair" is held.
Dishes (octopus meal, deep-fried chicken of octopus, sashimi assortment of local fish, nanbanzuke of local fish) using ground dako made specially in Ariake-cho are common throughout all guest houses, and, as for four articles of others, it is each guest house original dish.
