In the summer of 1907 (Meiji 40), Hiroshi Yosano (iron trunk) of the literary circle formed during Meiji-era Japan sponsorship and pupil, Hakushu Kitahara and others five planned trip to Kyushu for one month. This is trip of "five pairs of shoes".
We carried out five pairs of shoes honoring whole country tanka meetings to realize footprint of "five pairs of shoes" and significance of trip again in Amakusa which became the central stage of the trip, and to honor this in the whole country.
It is the 30th memorable meeting this time.
We look forward to much deei and participation.
